日本・アジア言語文化論講座　Japanese and Asian Literature and Culture

日本・中国などアジア地域を対象として，漢字文化圏という観点から言語・文学，さらに文化・思想にいたるまで，それらの構造および歴史的展開への深い理解を目指す。日本及び中国における言語文化に関する研究分野における専門的知識を修得させるとともに，学生自らが研究課題を見出し，新たな知見を提示することができる研究能力の修得を目指す。

We aim for a deep understanding of the structure and historical development of the Asian region such as Japan and China from the viewpoint of Kanji culture area to language and literature, furthermore culture and thought. In addition to having students acquire expert knowledge in the research field on language and culture in Japan and China, we aim to learn research abilities that students themselves can find research subjects and present new findings.

言語情報論講座　Linguistics

言語学（主にアジア諸語）・現代日本語学・社会言語学の分野からなる。授業・研究指導においては，個別言語の音韻・形態・統語などの記述だけでなく，言語と社会・文化、コミュニケーション、認知と言語，言語変化，言語間対照，言語類型，言語接触など，幅広い課題を扱う。言語構造と言語使用，言語の普遍性と多様性の両面から，言語の本質を探究する。

This program contains curriculums on linguistics (mainly in Asian languages), linguistics in modern Japanese, and socio linguistics. In the lecture and seminar, we deal with not only phonology, morphology, syntax of individual language, but also various subjects such as language in society and culture, communication, correlation between cognition and language, language change, comparison between more than one language, and language contact for the purpose of inquiry into essence of language from the view of both language structure and language usage, and both universality and variety of language.
