経済理論・統計講座　Economic Theory and Statistics

経済学の特定専門分野における高度な専門知識を有し，経済・政策の諸問題を理論と実証の両面から洞察・分析できる能力を有する人材を養成する。具体的には，経済の諸問題やミクロ経済学・マクロ経済学・政治経済学・計量経済学等の理論・計量分析の各分野において学術的研究課題を見出し，問題解決や研究成果を生み出す能力を養成するとともに，経済学に関する専門性と高い専門的スキルを修得させる。

It is the aim of the education and research in this program to develop and extend the capabilities of theoretical model analysis and statistical data analysis in order to examine contemporary complex, yet important, issues such as economic fluctuations and industrial composition. The economic theories and quantitative analytical methods of microeconomics, macroeconomics, political economy, econometrics and so on are studied, and students are assisted to develop the ability to gain insights into both theoretical and empirical aspects of a range of issues, such as finance and financial administration, the international economy, corporate economy, and local economy through the application of these theories and analytical methods.

政策科学講座　Socio-Economic Planning and Policy Science

一国経済・地域経済におけるさまざまな政策課題について，経済学・統計学の観点から解明・解決するための専門知識・スキルを身に付け，経済モデル分析力や統計データの処理・解析能力を備えた研究者もしくは政策立案者として幅広く活躍できる人材を養成する。修了後の進路として，大学院博士後期課程，国家公務員・地方公務員，民間企業の経済経営コンサルタント等の経済分析部門職などが考えられる。

Socio-Economic Planning and Policy Science Regarding various socio-economic policy subjects in a country or in a region, this course, from the viewpoints of economics and statistical science, aims at developing human resources who can play active parts broadly as researchers or policy makers, acquired expert knowledge and skills such as economic model analytical skills and processing and analysis capabilities of statistical data to analyze and resolve the subjects.
Assumed future courses of the graduates; Ph. D. degree, government or local officials, economic analysis department staffs in private enterprises such as economic management consultants.
