本教育研究分野では、ESD（Education for Sustainable Development、持続可能な開発のための教育）やESDGs（Education for SDGs、SDGsのための教育）について、その目標、内容及び方法を追究し、学校はもちろんのこと、地域社会や国際社会における ESD や ESDGs の発展と普及に寄与することを目指します。持続可能な社会を構築するために、人々の価値観と行動の変容を注目し、その教育のあり方を探求します。

In this field of education and research, we pursue the goals, contents, and methods of ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) and ESDGs (Education for SDGs), and aim to contribute to the development and dissemination of ESD and ESDGs in schools as well as in local and international communities. We will focus on the transformation of people’s values and behavior in order to create a sustainable society, and explore the nature of education for this purpose.
