比較社会発展論　Comparative Social Development

本教育・研究分野は，欧米における文化の複合性を意識・思想・制度の面から通時的・共時的あるいは対比的に検証し，アジアにおいては19世紀以降，急速に進んだ世界の一体化の中で近代にいかに向き合ってきたのか，その過程で旧来の伝統社会や文化はどのように変容してきたのかを学際的に考察し，さらにまた欧米やアジアの各種の社会制度・社会文化の比較等を人間共生・文化共生の視点から行います。

This field of education and research examines the complexity of European and American cultures diachronically and synchronically as well as contrastingly from the aspects of awareness, thought and institutions, conducts interdisciplinary studies of the manner in which Asia has confronted the modern age in the rapidly advancing world integration occurring since the 19th century, and how in that process former traditional society and culture has been transformed, and further, conducts comparisons, contrasts and so on of a multiplicity of Western and Asian social institutions and social culture from the viewpoint of human and cultural coexistence.
